Benedict Cumberbatch and Sophie Hunter have made their first public appearance since confirming that they are expecting their first baby together.

The couple confirmed their pregnancy news last week, and on Sunday night, Sophie accompanied Benedict to the Golden Globes, where he was nominated for the Best Actor accolade.

The event was their first public outing since sharing the baby news, and they both looked suitably delighted as they made their way up the red carpet.
While the ‘Imitation Game’ star looked suitably dapper in a suit, Sophie opted for a floral gown, with a flattering v-neck cut.

A spokesperson for Benedict confirmed Sophie’s pregnancy last week, releasing a statement that read: "I am delighted to confirm that Benedict Cumberbatch and Sophie Hunter are expecting their first child. They are both over the moon.”
Needless to say, Benedict’s die-hard fans were thrilled at the prospect of their idol carrying on the Cumberbatch name and took to Twitter in their droves to congratulate him.
The couple were joined on the red carpet by a number of their A-list pals, including Benedict’s ‘Imitation Game’ co-star Keira Knightley, who is also expecting her first baby.
