When 22-year-old Bri came out, it wasn't a huge surprise for her mother.
In fact, her mum had been waiting (and waiting) for her daughter to "come out" for some time.
The news was so expected that Bri's mother, who is a religious minister, even re-enacted the event to mock her daughter's dramatic announcement.
Bri filmed the whole thing and posted the video to Tumblr on Mother's Day with the accompanying caption: "My mom's says this was how it was when I came out. I love her. She's a minister everyone. Religion shouldn't involve hate."
In the video Bri's mum, who is wearing a bright pink dressing gown, pretends to knock on a door to ask whether her daughter is ready to come out.
"Is that the announcement?" she asks in the video. "Because for us, it was like, [opens the door] are you coming out? No, not yet? Alright.
"Every now and then it's like, [knocks] you ready? Oh, OK, well let us know when you're coming out!"
