Zayn Malik has well and truly broken his Twitter silence, posting a string of messages since his break-up from Perrie Edwards - though none of them actually mention the split.

While Little Mix star Perrie has been busy fielding questions live on TV, Zayn’s got the easier deal, and is kicking back in LA, recording new music.
On Wednesday night, he shared a few new tweets, beginning with one that could refer to the break-up, but quite frankly, there’s a lot going on in Zayn’s life right now, and this could just as easily be a message for One Direction. Or his former pal Naughty Boy. Or something else entirely.
He followed it with some less ambiguous tweets:
And ended the day on a rather lovely selfie:
Zayn’s currently working on solo material, following his new deal with Sony’s RCA label.
While the former couple haven’t discussed their split publicly - aside from Perrie’s “I’m good” during an E! interview - sources claim things were far from amicable.
It’s believed that Zayn called the engagement off, and new reports suggest that he did it by text message. Ouch.

A source told The Sun: “Who does that? She’s [Perrie] devastated, which everyone understands, but is doing her best to focus on work and to put on a brave face in public.”
The duo now need to decide what to do about their home in the UK, a £3 million mansion purchased just months ago.
Whatever happens, we bet Zayn’s graffiti room has taken a hammering…
