Afghanistan development practitioner and rights advocate
Jawed is the director of British & Irish Agencies Afghanistan Group (BAAG). He has extensive experience of working with Afghan civil society, international charities and the Afghan Government.
Since 2002, he has been working on promoting good governance in Afghanistan. He has worked at the Afghanistan Land Authority and Afghan Ministry of Agriculture (2009-2011), and with the Afghan Civil Society Forum (2002-2006).
Jawed is from Ghazni, Afghanistan and lives and works in London and Kabul. He regularly speaks at Afghanistan discussions in international think-tanks and has been interviewed by the BBC and other international media outlets.
