Neil Boorman

Writer and journalist at howtobearealman.co.uk

Neil is a recovering brand addict and burgeoning real man. A former fashion magazine editor and Guardian columnist, he once flew to New York to buy the last pair of size ten Prada Sport boots on the planet. Sensing a rapid decent into metrosexuality, he then burnt all his branded possessions in front of the world’s media and wrote a book about shopping addiction, ‘Bonfire Of The Brands’. The book was translated in twelve languages and did rather well in South Korea. After 2 years of eating non-branded lentils, he returned to the real world, writing columns for Vice, Esquire, The Times, and a book, ‘Its All Their Fault’ for Harper Collins. He also built a digital TV channel for Amnesty International. He is now on a journey to define, and then become, a real man.
