David Cameron: Look Who's 'LOLing' Now

From Friday's revelations at the Leveson inquiry it would appear that the ex-News International boss Rebekah Brooks' contact with David Cameron included giving the PM a lesson on the vernacular of the laity; and in this instance instructing Cameron on contemporary text acronyms.

From Friday's revelations at the Leveson inquiry it would appear that the ex-News International boss Rebekah Brooks' contact with David Cameron included giving the PM a lesson on the vernacular of the laity; and in this instance instructing Cameron on contemporary text acronyms.

According to Ms Brooks the Prime Minister would sign off his text messages, 'lol, DC', which in the Bullingdon man's head carried a more intimate meaning - lots of love. However it took for Ms Brooks to inform DC that his well wishes actually meant Laugh loud as it is well known to today's youth and to anyone familiar with the language of the digital and social media age we live in.

This revelation has certainly shown how out of touch David Cameron is and has prompted a swell of in the know social networkers to laugh out loud at Cam's expense, including many labour politicians and social networkers who've been 'loling' and signing off their tweets with the well known text abbreviation, lol.

On the bright side it is nice to see the country getting some amusement from a revelation at the Leveson inquiry as opposed to being horrified and shocked with every revelation that is leaked throughout the trial.

Anyway here is my cartoon encapsulating the revelation!
