What are you waiting for? Seriously, what is it? What is holding you back from becoming your ultimate, happiest, healthiest self? Is it the fear that you won't reach your goals? Is it fear that you'll be judged for not meeting someone else's expectations? Is it that you don't think you will succeed so why should you even try? Is it the fear of the unknown and stepping out of your comfort zone and actually having to go get it? I hear you. I've had these thoughts. I've had the self-doubt, the endless mind talk telling you that you will not achieve and that you aren't good enough.
But you know what I did, I made the conscious decision to no longer give in to my negative self-talk (aka that bitchy voice in your head), to no longer let my thoughts dictate my life, and I made a very rude gesture to that voice in my head and got on with proving myself, and many other people, wrong.
So, what if you didn't fail? How would losing your weight, reaching your goals, going for that run, and getting those tasks done feel? Pretty friggin' brilliant right? Thought so.
So ask yourself this, what is really stopping you?
If you want something, you can and you will get it. Stop letting your fear of being great hold you back. Because that's what this is you know. You're subconsciously sabotaging yourself from greatness. You are holding yourself back, not anybody else - although others may say things and try their best to bring you down, they cannot do this unless you give them that power.
Don't believe me? That's okay.
But ask yourself this: What if I just took control of what I wanted and did everything I needed to do in order to get it? What if I stopped procrastinating, stopped making excuses, and stopped letting other people dictate to me how I am going to live my life? What if I actually made a plan and stuck to it?
Take charge of your life.
Make positive healthy changes.
Love yourself by honouring your body and your health.
You will be great. You will succeed. You will lose that weight. You will get that promotion. You will be the best mother, partner, and friend you can be. You will conquer your eating habits. You will exercise this week. You will prove everyone else wrong by not giving up. This time is the time where you will never have to refer back to that last failed attempt. You will not fail so long as you truly do not want to.
Now repeat after me out loud and proud in the mirror (try this every morning and night):
Because I deserve it."
