Tattoo regrets and mistakes are all too common, but an unlikely new trend has come out of cover-ups.
Blackout tattoos originally started as an alternative (and cheaper) way to hide old inkings, by completely covering the area in a solid block of black.
Now, the practice is becoming an art in its own right - with people incorporating the look into graphic designs and even full-body suits.
