Put It On Your Playlist: Emerging Icons Hit Glasgow

Posted: 01/12/2012 00:16

Here at Emerging Icons we're always going on about how we're doing everything we can to get our artists and their music 'out there'. It's meant securing them national radio airplay, prolific platforms, industry feedback and releases to the public- but now we've decided to take an even more direct approach.

In addition to all of those opportunities, we're literally going to get Emerging Icons' music into the hands of the people. We'll be hitting the streets armed with tunes from some of the acts that have really got us going to see if the Great British public get the same vibe. It'll mean meeting potential new fans and finding out if they like what they hear- will it be good enough to go on their playlist?

This week we made the made the most of being in the vibrant city of Glasgow. The birthplace of bands including Biffy Clyro, Franz Ferdinand, Glasvegas, and of course, Lulu; this is a city with a lot to 'Shout' about when it comes to music. See what we did there?

The local scene is thriving with venues like King Tuts and Nice N Sleazy regularly heaving; not to mention the first stop on our Emerging Icons Live Tour, O2's ABC, which hosts a non-stop ruckus of musical wonderment. Whilst we had our three gigging acts in tow, we thought we'd get some feedback from the fine ears of Glasgow's public. What do they think of Auction For The Promise Club, Annaca and Tankus The Henge?
