I want to celebrate my birthday in the manner I've always celebrated by birthdays. Dancing in a nightclub until I can't feel my feet for two days. I know. I'm 'supposed' to have grown out of that aren't I? So that's the rub: Act young and you might get thought tragic. Act older and it's - well - it's boring.
Mr Lansley how about allocating some of the health budget to the installation of karaoke booths in every community hall in the land. Just think of all the money that could be saved overall when the feel-good factor of singing translates into a healthier population. After all as the saying goes 'He who sings frightens away all his ills'.
I made my stand-up debut on 9 December 2011. A date I will remember for as long as Alzheimer's allows me. It wasn't something I had considered doing until, perhaps, the last year or so, which is actually surprising when I think about it. You see, I've always thought of myself as being funny, and I've always been a show off. So why hadn't I tried stand up before now?
