Personality tests are enjoying an online resurgence. Previously a staple of tabloids, they fell out of favour as sceptics began to doubt the veracity of the 'If You Answered Mostly B...' scoring system... We're embracing these quizzes like someone who's filled in a 'Which Online Meme is For You?' questionnaire and got the answer 'Personality Tests'.

It is here in Milan, far north in the Bel Paese [Italy, the "beautiful country"], that a cultural pragmatism has attracted those of a more refined musical streak. And it is at Biko, a club not far from the throng of the city centre, that Trio Valore has convened to play to a Milanese crowd intent on devouring live music as would they their mammas' pasta e fagioli. It's a crowd of stylists who want to dance, and they do.

According to Christine Fitzgerald, a former confidante of Princess Diana, the late Queen of Hearts told her quite seriously that the royal family are actually shape-shifting, reptilian aliens from a galaxy far, far away. Now that is gold. I always knew there was something funny about them.

Anoushka learned from her father, Ravi, but as a teacher could not impart all that he knew. 'What I was privy to, being around him, is that he considered himself a student,' she tells me. 'He was aware of the infinite nature of growth as an artist. But I don't know where I am in the scheme of that."

This is a book with a difference, one that ensures all previous rock tomes will gather dust on high, cob-webbed shelves. It's a work of careful research that turns the legend of The Beatles into a woven history that reads like a work of fiction.

I was at a gig in south London last week when, so to speak, my day job popped up. One minute I was "chillaxing" (as I believe the kids and the prime minister like to say) to some genial indie rock, the next ... I'm listening to a longish poem about Russian authoritarianism.

It's hard to answer why flicking through a giant book that is essentially 'what amount of paper people who are shinier than you have' is so wildly addictive. You can lose a good few hours furiously looking up how much Victoria added to the Beckham pile through her fashion business this year (£30m), or exclaiming with surprise that the latest woman to marry Paul McCartney is independently wealthy (£150m to be exact, who knew?).

The Resurrection of Sir Paul McCartney and Why I No Longer Want Him to Die

Planet Ivy

Around five years ago, I wished death upon Sir Paul McCartney. This wasn't a personal vendetta. It wasn't pent up rage or resentment that John and George perished before he. I wasn't a deranged Rolling Stones fan bemoaning the injustices of Beatles pre-eminence. In fact, it came from a place of compassion.

My Life as a Vegetarian - Supporting Linda's Legacy

Growing up in Liverpool, I would have thought of a vegetarian as a wimp... I've been a vegetarian for a long time now and over the years I've seen how the attitudes have changed around the world, so I'm not surprised when I see new research that shows more and more people are increasingly adopting 'meat free eating'. Even 20 years ago, it could sometimes be difficult to find vegetarian options in good restaurants. Now it's great to see more and more choice with some brilliant creative dishes in restaurants, cafés and supermarkets.
