The current host of Top Gear couldn't resist a little dig at his predecessor.
The presenter told his Instagram followers he'd be fine after "a cup of tea, a paracetamol and a good old cry”.
As one viewer put it, it was a case of "Paddy Too Much Guinness".
It is not the first time The Grand Tour host has hit out at the 16-year-old climate activist.
The presenter and former cricketer was involved in an accident on the same track where Richard Hammond was left seriously injured.
Paddy McGuinness and Andrew Flintoff are taking the wheel of the next series.

They will join existing host Chris Harris on the motoring show.
The presenter is said to have slept through the whole ordeal.
