Matt LeBlanc made a low-key exit from Top Gear on Sunday night, when he fronted his last show as host.
The former Friends star made barely any reference to leaving the BBC Two motoring series as he signed off at the end of the series finale.
“Thank you all so much for watching,” he told viewers. “We’ve had a lot of fun making this series. Sometimes too much fun.”
“Good night,” he added.
The episode then finished with a few minutes of outtakes from the series, which saw Matt and co-stars Rory Reid and Chris Harris fluffing their lines and joking around in between takes.
This was then followed by a preview of the upcoming series, which sees Paddy McGuinness and Andrew “Freddie” Flintoff joining the show.
Matt joined Top Gear in 2016, originally hosting alongside Chris Evans, following the departures of former hosting trio Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May.
When Chris later quit after just one series following criticism of his presenting style, Matt stuck around and stepped up to become the lead presenter.
However, he announced last year that he was leaving at the end of the current series, due to the demands of filming keeping him away from family in the US.
Paddy and Andrew will take the wheel when Top Gear returns this summer, alongside Chris Harris.
Rory Reid will be standing down from the main presenting line-up, instead becoming a semi-regular and continuing as host of spin-off Extra Gear.
