Ever wondered just what happens to our body when we drink fizzy drinks? We all know that cans of fizzy pop aren't the healthiest product available for us to consume but did you know that as a result of consuming them regularly, you are seriously compromising your health?

Harmful Soda
Via: Term Life Insurance

Here are just some of the risks associated with drinking fizzy drinks:

80% increased risk of developing Type 2 diabetes
Increased risk of osteoporosis - the phosphorus in soft drinks deplete the body of calcium
Increased risk of developing heart disease due to the high fructose corn syrup
Dissolved tooth enamel
Increased risk of developing asthma and eczema
Increased risk of developing kidney stones and other renal problems
Increased risk of obesity
Increased risk of developing cancer thanks to aspartame which is often used in fizzy drinks.

Some people consume between 1 and 4 cans of fizzy drink a day which spikes blood sugar and blood pressure levels and puts major stress on your kidneys, liver and immune system.

The dangers of these drinks should be more acknowledged by the food industry and should certainly not be fed to children!

All soda is bad - diet is often worse because they use lots of other fake stuff so it has "less calories/less fat" but can be just as harmful. Switch to tonic and lime, flavour your water with fruit or make your own lemonade with lemons and apples through a juicer! Your body will thank you!

'All soda is bad.' No it isn't - in moderation. Too much dramatizing in these articles. People have been drinking these things for years with little unequivocal PROVEN ill effects. This is nothing but needless scaremongering and nothing more. People can't live their lives in a bubble...its unrealistic and unnecessary.
