After our initial flourish of excitement at seeing The Dress at making its way to Westminster Abbey, our thoughts turned to the dress of another wedding dress; that of Princess Grace of Monaco.
Middleton's lace-appliquéd bodice and skirt featuring long lace sleeves is evocative of the iconic dress worn by the film star when she married Prince Rainier of Monaco in 1956. And our contributing editor Dannii Minogue agrees: "It was amazing to feel the swell of British pride and love for the happy newly weds," she told us.
