The Beckhams' Baby List: What Victoria And David Will Be Buying For Harper

The Beckhams' Baby List: What Victoria And David Will Be Buying For Harper

PA

In most larger families, baby number four makes do with well-worn hand-me-downs from older siblings. We reckon that probably won't quite cut it for the Beckhams, nor will a trip down the LA equivalent of Mothercare. So what do we think the new Baby Beckham will be sleeping on, eating from and getting out and about in?

1. The Posh Pushchair

Victoria will have her pick of the many luxury pushchairs on the market, not just because she's rich, but also as she'll have suppliers falling over themselves to send her one for free, all hoping the paps snap a photo of Harper in theirs.

She's already been sent a no-doubt very lovely bespoke iCandy Peach. But we think Mrs. Beckham is the kind of gal who won't confine herself to just one pushchair and we've been wondering what else might be in with a chance of being pushed by Posh.

We asked Caroline Cosgrove, the founder of Baby Concierge, a personal shopping service popular with celebs (Jools Oliver and Sam Taylor-Wood are two well-known names who give client testimonials on the company's website). She reckons VB might opt for one of the new, and rather gorgeous, limited edition Missoni Bugaboo pushchairs - the Cameleon,

£880, or the Bee, £579. We're putting our money on that, the hot new Mima or maybe the Stokke Xplory.

2. The baby carrier

Popping your baby into a carrier or sling can make jetsetting a lot easier than carting a pushchair around the airport. We'd point Victoria towards the chic Bill Amberg papoose for £350. It's also available in a pretty baby pink, which might well appeal given Victoria wants to make the most of finally having a daughter within her brood.

3. For

bedtime

The dreamy 'Nestor' cot-bed, £2,200, from Bambizi would look the part in the swankiest of nurseries, and matches with other furniture items, including a sturdy, solid wood armoire, £1,900 and a sizable dresser, £1,965 for storing all Harper's designer outfits.

4. For feeding

Definitely not the most glamorous item on the Beckham baby list, but we're adding it because what it lacks in glamour, it makes up for in practicality. Posh has, after all, declared her interest in breastfeeding her baby this time, and given her busy lifestyle she'll probably need a breast pump for expressing. This, the Medela Freestyle, £264, is the Rolls Royce of pumps - apparently Danni Minogue found hers a godsend.

5. For protecting those posh outfits

We'd also add some Aden and Anais muslin swaddling cloths, £38.95 for four to the list - a favourite of celeb parents, including Heidi Klum, Gwen Stefani and Jamie Oliver. Victoria could find them handy for everything from draping over the pushchair to shield little Harper from paparazzi lenses, to ensuring her designer outfits don't get spoiled by baby puke.
