Coal, chalk, pickled onions and gherkins. Standard pregnancy-craving fayre. But furniture polish? It's a new one on us, but something mum-to-be Emma Veness, 26, just can't get enough off...
Emma, who is expecting her second baby, is gobbling up polish at least three times a day, either by spaying it on her fingers and licking it off, or sucking her dusters.
At seven-months pregnant, Emma is terrified what this might be doing to her unborn baby girl, but just cannot give it up.
She says her doctor was no help, simply telling her to eat chocolate instead!
Emma told the Sun: "I can't explain why I like it so much. I think it has a lot to do with the texture. I normally spray a bit on my fingers and lick it off or spray it on the duster and suck."
She added that she was obsessed just with SNIFFING it when pregnant with her first daughter Darcie who is now eleven months, but her latest pregnancy has seen her obsession move onto actual consumption.
Well at least she'll have a nice pregnant 'sheen' about her, if not a glow...
