The stylish film star opened up to the magazine in the accompanying interview, proving her girl-next-door credentials by talking boys and body confidence. Although she also happens to be a girl-next-door with a Cannes Best Actress award on her mantlepiece, so she talked about that too!
Dunst, who has dated the likes of Jake Gyllenhaal and Razorlight's Johnny Borrell, opened up about letting bad boys affect her confidence: "With boys, I was always chewing down my confidence. We all want the bad guy who doesn't give you what you want. I did a lot of sitting in my car, listening to sad music, crying over boys."
Regarding her Cannes win the 29-year-old reveals how being a little older made it easier to enjoy the success: "I'm so happy I won the Best Actress award at this stage because it made me appreciate it. I'm old enough not to have to play it cool. I could enjoy the moment."
The full interview with Kirsten appears in the September issue of Elle, on sale from 3 August.
