The Go-Gos have received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Thursday in Los Angeles.
The Go Gos were the first all-female band to write, record and peform their own music, and enjoyed a string of hits in the early 1980s.
Their vocalist Belinda Carlisle went on to enjoy a successful solo career, with songs including Heaven is a Place on Earth and I Get Weak.
Fellow vocalist and guitarist Jane Wiedlin also struck out on her own - her biggest hit was the 1988 song Rush Hour.
