PRESS ASSOCIATION -- X Factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos has revealed she expected to get a hard time from contestants over her new position on the panel.
The N-Dubz star - who has taken over from Cheryl Cole judging the talent show - was seen being verbally abused by George Gerasimou in the auditions shown at the weekend.
Tulisa told ITV's Lorraine: "I think it was inevitable, I actually expected to get slack off someone.
"I know there was a lot of controversy around the fact that I was taking the role as a judge. And you know, I just kind of expected it at some point, someone's going to challenge me. So it wasn't so bad when it came along... I gave as good as got I like to think."
The 23-year-old - who performed with her hip-hop group N-Dubz at V Festival at the weekend - said she hadn't decided yet whether to follow in Cheryl's footsteps and perform on the X Factor herself.
She said: "I haven't made any decisions about what I'm going to do musically because I'm just trying to focus on the job at hand. It's a big role to take on but anything could happen. I'm not sure yet, I'm seeing how it goes."
