The US based magazine Star's front cover claims this week 'Kate pregnant with TWINS..a boy and a girl'.
Now wouldn't that be a wonderful story. But rather disappointingly for her fans Kate Middleton is not expecting twins, according to a spokesperson from Buckingham Palace.
A royal spokesperson said rather snootily: 'Suffice to say that were it true, it would be us that announces it, not a gossip magazine.'
Citing a source, Star said: 'William almost collapsed with joy - and relief - when Kate called to tell him she was pregnant.'
The magazine claimed that the palace was 'abuzz with word that the first-ever royal twins are on the way'.
It also said that Kate was struggling to gain weight - presumably because she has been pictured recently looking rake thin and showing absolutely no signs of pregnancy.
This is the third time the Star has published a story claiming that Kate is pregnant.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, who married on April 29 this year, have said that they are keen to start a family but are not rushing to have children.
In their engagement interview Prince William had said: 'We'll sort of get over the marriage thing first, then look at the kids.
'But obviously, we want a family.'
