American Dream: LiLo Gets Patriotic For Philipp Plein

Lindsay Lohan was announced as the new face of Philipp Plein this weekend during Milan Fashion Week and it looks like the designer is wasting no time in putting his new muse to work. Lindsay was spotted posing her heart out in a patriotic outfit for the designer in Bellagio, Italy.

You may be wondering what exactly Plein is doing, hitching his wagon to Lohan's notoriously wonky, unpredictable and slightly shoplifty star, but given the previous face of his collection was Mischa Barton we think it's safe to say Plein has a penchant for troubled actresses. Or a penchant for publicity.

Plein has said of the new partnership: "Lindsay is a beautiful, highly acclaimed actress and model. We will be able to create unique images: Refined and luxurious, but also full of sensuality."

P.S. We think you'll find this last image is a pretty good metaphor for her current situation - a series of choices which see her stranded alone playing dress-up on an unstable-looking foundation in a foreign land while people shout and take pictures.
