Michelle Obama was snapped shopping sort-of incognito at the budget US chain Target in Alexandria, Virginia on Thursday.

We already know the First Lady isn't afraid to mix high street purchases with high-end designer gear in her well-stocked wardrobe - Alexander McQueen and Ralph Lauren sit alongside Asos and H&M - but seeing Mobama (for thus we tend to call her in the office) strolling round Target in her flowery shirt and baseball cap still felt a bit weird - like bumping into Kate Middleton in Asda or Gwyneth Paltrow in Lidl.
Mobama's attempts at shopping undetected nearly succeeded but she was caught by photographers as she finished her trip.

In May Michelle revealed to Oprah that her public profile had put an end to her visits to the store: "I can't go to Target and walk around. I guess I could but it would mess up everyone else's shopping experience."
Looks like she's determined to find a way round that!
