PRESS ASSOCIATION -- Tulisa Contostavlos has great potential for an acting career, according to Arjun Rose - who directed her debut acting role.
The X Factor judge appears in British horror film Demons Never Die and the director said she was "captivating" on screen, even though she had never acted before.
Rose said: "She was amazing. She has this star quality. She was in this small room to start with and there was a group of crew and everyone was quite excited to have her there and when she started she was just totally captivating.
"So I think she's got a great potential career, should she choose to, in the acting world."
The director added casting the N-Dubz star in the role inspired by Drew Barrymore's cameo in Scream turned out to be quite easy.
"Funnily I just said 'Look, I really want Tulisa to play this role', which was kind of a homage to Wes Craven's Barrymore.
"And we made the phone calls and she came back to me and said 'Can I have a slightly bigger part'. I said yes, rewrote it and gave it back to her and she said 'Yes I want to do it', and that was it."
The film, released on October 28, was produced by Luther star Idris Elba.
He said: "Tulisa does a really good job. As I've been telling everyone - she kills it!"
