The world's most valuable balls have dropped - that's the official word from Justin Bieber's manager, who took it upon himself to explain the teen wonder's deeper voice on his forthcoming Christmas album.
NME.com quotes Scooter Braunt describing how the Baby singer found it difficult reaching for the high notes during a recording a Christmas duet with Mariah Carey more difficult, because his voice had broken.
Braunt said: "That was the hardest song to do. A year ago that would have been no problem."
The bosses of Bieber's record label are reported to be pleased with the change in their young musical maestro's sound, with Island Def Jam's Steve Bartels quoted saying: "His voice has just blossomed. It will pleasantly surprise many people."
The track will feature on Bieber's album Underneath The Mistletoe, released tomorrow.
A second solo album is also on its way.
