Dakota Fanning posing with the flower-shaped fragrance bottle on her lap, was described as "irresponsible and likely to cause serious offense" due to its "sexualised manner".
Speaking to WWD, Marc Jacobs defended the campaign. He said, "It's really unfortunate that people have taken anything negative from what we believe is a really good campaign, and one that so perfectly embodies the fragrance".
Although Fanning was 17 when she shot the campaign with photographer Juergen Teller, the ASA considered that she looked under 16 in the image and therefore, it could be seen to sexualise a child.
