Desperate Scousewives Cast Unveiled: Mersey Gang Show Off Their Best Wag Look (PHOTOS)
E4 have unveiled the leading ladies and lads of their latest 'reality' show Desperate Scousewives. The 15-strong main cast have enough hairspray and fake tan between them to rival any of the TOWIE stars and are poised to fill a scripted-reality-TV-shaped-void in our lives from next month, when both TOWIE and Made In Chelsea come to an end.
Speculation about the show, which follows the lives of "the strong, independent women who quite literally run" Liverpool, has been awash since the summer when its commission was announced.
One HuffPost blogger commented:: "Being a Scouser born and bred in Liverpool, I dread to think what kind of a show I'm going to watch, how my city, that I love and take pride in, is going to be portrayed to the rest of the country...again!"
Local Labour MP Steve Rotheram also argued that "dramality" TV programmes will only reinforce the negative stereotypes cast on Liverpool life.
Now, not quite putting anyone's mind to rest, E4 have introduced the guys and gals who will be representing Liverpool.
