Dermot O'Leary is a busy man. Not only is he shepherding the X Factor through some rocky on-air episodes, but he's found the time to become engaged to his longtime girlfriend Dee Koppang.
The TV and radio presenter is reported to have proposed to Koppang during a trip to New York earlier this month where, according to the Daily Mail, he got down on one knee during a restaurant meal.
O'Leary's big news was broken on air by Xtra Factor hostess Caroline Flack, who said, "We want to congratulate you... on your engagement."
Flack asked him why he had waited nine years of romancing Koppang before proposing to her. He explained, "Well, you don't want to rush these things."
O'Leary later tweeted: 'Thanks for all the tweets tonight. Very lucky boy.'
