The Vaudeville-era gag of swapping out an animal's head for your own is nothing new, but this recent clip of a dog called "Bizzle" eating a snack with his "hands" is so adorable it makes the whole joke funny again.
The clip in question, titled "Bizzle gets some Dunkers", may only last 88 seconds, but this video of Bizzle and his owner has become immensely popular over the past four days, with 350,000 or so hits clocked up since November 28.
But why, you may well wonder, did someone make a video as silly as this and put it online? The answer is simple, as YouTube user GixxxerG explains: "[It was] born of a Sunday evening with nothing better to do."
Now if only the rest of the world could do something as productive as this of a Sunday afternoon. Then, well... then things would be pretty weird, to be honest, but there you go.
And just in case you were wondering, Bizzle's breed is half American Bulldog, half Douge de Bordeaux. Not half human. There have been checks.
For his next video, GixxxerG promises to "DEFINITELY use a tripod" and "a camera that isn't a phone." Here's hoping it's an Old English Sheepdog eating some Pringles - now that would be extra double brilliant.
