After decking the halls of the White House last week, Michelle Obama swapped decorating duties for playing host at the Kennedy Centre Honors reception with her husband last night.

As usual, Mrs Obama got her dress choice spot on for the occasion. She looked stunning in a floor-length, electric blue gown by Vera Wang, which she teamed with a chic updo and some bauble inspired statement earrings. (She has 37 Christmas trees after all).
