The pushy mum who dressed her toddler as a prostititute for the reality TV show Toddlers and Tiaras has hit back at her critics.
Wendy Dickey said her three-year-old daughter Paisley's "Pretty Woman" outfit, complete with thigh-high black boots, mini dress and blonde wig, wasn't sexy, but "comical".
She was speaking out ahead of the start of the new series of Toddlers and Tiaras, which begins tonight on the TLC channel.
The show has always attracted controversy, but critics have been particularly vitriolic towards Wendy.
The outfit was not sexy, it was tacky and hideous. It was comical. Nothing more than a costume," she told ABC's Good Morning America.
She said she'd found the online attacks on her very difficult to deal with.
"The worst thing, you know, is that people could come on there anonymously and they were saying anything and everything," she said.
But despite the condemnation, she went ahead and dressed Paisley in a raunchy leather biker outfit and as Lady Gaga for the new series.
All the negative publicity may turn out to be the best thing that ever happened to the mum from Georgia, U.S. Television bosses are said to be negotiating with the mum and daughter to give Paisley her very own reality TV show.
Do you think Wendy's outfit choice for Paisley was too much?
