Daniel Craig To Film Back-To-Back Millenium Trilogy Films, After Dragon Tattoo Success

The new bride Rachel Weisz had better get used to not seeing her husband Daniel Craig for a couple of years..

No sooner had James Bond bosses mooted that they wished to schedule their burly blonde star for another five 007 films, than the English star was receiving the love and timetables from another blockbusting quarter, with director David Fincher confirming Daniel Craig will return to make back-to-back sequels to The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo.

The James Bond star appears opposite Rooney Mara in the new Hollywood adaptation of the first of Stieg Larsson's Millennium Trilogy books, and Fincher has now revealed he is planning to film the two sequels The Girl Who Played With Fire and The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest.

Fincher has confirmed the movies will be made back-to-back on location in Larsson's native Sweden.

He tells Collider: "The second two books are very much one story and it doesn't seem prudent to me to go to Sweden for a year. Come back for a year. Put out the second one. Go to Sweden for a year. Come back for a year. I don't think Rooney wants to be doing this four years from now. So I think that would be crazy especially given the sense that it's really one story that's kind of bifurcated in the middle."

Mrs Craig had better keep a nail file on her person for the next two years at least (this is a purposely postmodern sexist comment belying the fact that Rachel Weisz is an Oscar-winning actress in her own right, who may not even notice she's alone, because of her own busy work schedule.)
