Literary Novelists Who Turn To Genre Fiction

The line between the genre and literary novel has always been a transient one, and recently there has been a trend of literary novelists turning their hand to explicitly genre novels.

The reason is perhaps a combination of literary novels experiencing relatively poor sales while fantasy, sci fi and horror continue to enjoy commercial success, and the growing literary prowess of genre novelists, such as China Meiville, who make the transition more palatable for serious authors.
