'X Factor USA' Host Steve Jones Admits He's After Nicole Scherzinger

Steve Jones has revealed that he is to embark on a mission to make US X Factor judge Nicole Scherzinger his girlfriend if he is axed from the show.

Steve had been told to be on his best behaviour after he was hired to host the series, and as a result he refused to chat up any of his colleagues, but says this will all change if he is sacked.

Speaking to the Metro, he said: "If I ever leave X Factor, Scherzinger's phone will be smoking hot from me ringing it constantly because if we were not colleagues - oh, she's fair game. Oh, yeah."

Rumours had already been circulating that the Welshman and the former Pussycat Doll had become close since the start of the talent contest but the pair insisted they were just good friends and got on well at work.

Steve responded to stories he is to receive the chop from the next series of US X Factor and seemed quite relaxed about the whole situation.

The Metro quotes him as saying: "There's been no (contract) conversations and there won't be until the New Year.

"If I'm back, great, if not, I'll do something else. Simple as that."

Either way, it looks like Steve's got it all set!
