Both Katy Perry and Russell Brand have been suspiciously quiet since the announcement of their divorce last month, with neither making a public statement.
But Katy has finally broken her silence, speaking to fans on Twitter.
The singer has claimed her heart is "happy again", but told fans to ignore the speculation surrounding the couple's divorce stating "no one speaks for me".
The California Girls singer posted her first update to the social networking site since 27 December - three days before the world found out she and Russell were divorcing.
She said: "I am so grateful for all the love and support I've had from people around the world. You guys have made my heart happy again."
However, she warned her 13 million followers not to believe the various rumours regarding the reasons behind the split.
"Concerning the gossip, I want to be clear that NO ONE speaks for me. Not a blog, magazine, "close sources" or my family," she said.
It had previously been claimed the couple split over Katy's reluctance to have children as well as reports Russell angered Katy by poking fun at her parents' religious beliefs.
