We were thrilled to see how many of slebs threw caution to the wind and stepped out in a dazzling array of colour at the Golden Globes 2012. Full marks go to Glee's Dianna Agron for her gorgeous lazer-cut Giles gown (definitely one of our favourite looks from the night).
Meanwhile Natalie Portman's fuschia strapless Lanvin gave a flawless rendition of red carpet elegance. We also loved Zooey Deschanel's fashion-forward chartreuse and black Prada gown.

We've already noted the optimistic approach to colour taken by designers for Spring/Summer 2012 - and we're glad to see that these actresses (or at least their stylists) have been paying attention to the catwalks.

As the first major red carpet event of the year, we hope this is the start to a more daring approach to red carpet dressing from the A-list. And that means taking a break from the nude dresses ladies!
