Liverpool Cinema-Goers Demand Refunds After 'The Artist' Turns Out To Be... Silent

Gee, Tough Audience...

Oh dear, in something that sounds straight out of a Laurel & Hardy script, cinema-goers in Liverpool have proved to be one of the few contingents on either side of the Atlantic immune to the charms of the film The Artist.

The black and white French film scooped several of the top gongs at Sunday's Golden Globes ceremony in Los Angeles, has been nominated for BAFTAs in the UK, and is hotly tipped to take home some of the shiniest Oscars this year, too, but none of that impressed this particular crowd.

And apparently that wasn't the only problem...

Oh well, hopefully, they liked the dog.
