Alexa Chung has hit back at rumours she is anorexic saying she finds stories she has an eating disorder "frustrating".
The former MTV host lost weight through stress when her American career flopped following the cancellation of her show It's On With Alexa Chung prompting whispers she was suffering with anorexia.
But the star insists she is perfectly healthy and says she wants to be known for something other than being skinny.
Speaking to OK! magazine, she said: "I don't expect everyone to like me but I cannot express how frustrating it is not to be believed when you say, 'I don't have an eating disorder.'
"It angers me because I don't want to be a pin-up for young girls just for being thin. I don't want to be admired for being thin, as opposed for being dressed well, and I don't want the two to get confused."
Alexa recently revealed she was the target of online bullies after people left nasty comments about her around the web.
Speaking to New York Magazine, she said: "I hate online bullying. Those little comment boxes can brim with the most vicious, acidic, and pointless remarks."
Speaking to OK! about her online bullying stress, she said: "It basically got really nasty and they were like, 'We're going to stab you.' It was genuinely horrible. I stopped using Twitter for a while because I got so much s**t about being anorexic. And I'm not."
