Keira Knightly: 'I Practised Sex Faces In The Mirror'

Keira Knightley has revealed went through a phase of making sex faces at herself in the bathroom mirror.

But wait, the Hollywood actress hasn't lost the plot - it was all in the name of art!

The star has revealed she stared at herself sexily in a bid to improve her performance in racy new drama A Dangerous Method, in which her character is violently spanked.

And Keira even went as far as to show director David Cronenberg her best come-to-bed looks via Skype.

Speaking to The Sun, she said: "It was a huge part of what Sabina was doing a lot of the time. So I asked psychoanalysts about it and they said, 'Sex and anything like that is trying to release energy, trying to release pent-up emotion.'

"So I worked with that and sat in my bathroom and pulled faces at myself for about two days, trying to figure out what it was going to be.

"Then I got on Skype with David and went, 'I've come up with this', or, 'I've come up with this', and he went, 'That one!'"

The Pirates of the Caribbean star plays young Russian mental patient Sabina Spielrein in the movie, opposite Michael Fassbender, who stars as famed psychiatrist Carl Jung.

We bet there are a lot more people who would have like to have viewed those Skype chats, Keira!
