Cher Lloyd Was 'Driven To Hell' With Relentless Online Bullying

'It's A Miracle I'm Still Alive'

The X Factor star Cher Lloyd was "driven to hell and back" over vicious online bullies who attacked her after her talent show success.

The 18-year-old singer says she was relentlessly attacked on Twitter, Facebook and YouTube, and even received a death threat against her mum.

She says she is nothing like the hard, cocky persona she portrayed on The X Factor, admitting: "I'm quite scared of what people say about me or do to me."

The 2010 finalist is campaigning against web bullying and virtual trolls, a new breed of internet bullies stalking social networking sites and making sick anonymous attacks.

She told The Sun: "It's a miracle I'm still alive - I've been driven to hell and back."

Cher, who says she feels sorry for the bullies, adds that it frustrates her when people tell her to just ignore the cruel taunts. She says: "How am I meant to ignore it? I'm a teenage girl."

Cher, who recently got engaged to boyfriend Craig Monk, will feature on a Panorama programme called Hunting the Online Bullies.
