Former footie ace David Ginola is nursing five broken ribs and an injured collarbone after he was involved in a skiing accident in the French Alps on Tuesday.
The 45-year-old, who has played for top teams including Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur, was enjoying an evening session on the slopes in the Portes du Mont Blanc resort when the crash happened.
His spokesperson tells BBC Sport: "It happened in the evening before they closed the slopes. There was poor visibility. He lost his skis and fell badly. Something went wrong because he is an incredibly good skier."
The Sun reports David crashed into another skier and was then airlifted from the site to a nearby hospital.
"He is feeling very sore. We just have to wait to assess some damage."
Thankfully David was released from hospital after treatment, but his injuries have prompted him to cancel a string of personal appearances, including a spot at a high-profile 'snow golf' tournament at nearby Megeve.
Get well soon, David!
