Holly Valance 'In No Rush For Motherhood'

'I'm Not Ready For Motherhood'

Recently engaged star Holly Valance is in no rush to become a mum after admitting she's not ready to share fiance Nick Candy with anyone.

The former Neighbours actress said 'yes' to billionaire Nick's lavish proposal after he got down on one knee alongside the fire-lit words "Will You Marry Me" during a romantic holiday in the Indian Ocean in December.

And happy Holly is content with just enjoying her engagement for now.

When asked if she had plans to become a mother, she told the Daily Mail: "Not for a while - I don't want to share Nick with anybody!"

The star hinted her reason for holding back on motherhood is because she doesn't want to change the dynamics of her family.

She said: "Families are complicated and full of angst and issues at the best of times.

"Where there are close relatives there are always problems. So a baby introduces a new dimension I'm not ready for yet."

Jet-setting singer Holly may want to settle in one place before considering parenthood if she hopes to enlist the help and advice of her mum.

She said: "I haven't seen my mum or sister for months, not even at Christmas, because Nick and I were away."

And while fiance Nick recently revealed he planned to wed Holly before the end of the year, Holly's hunk admitted they were holding off on organising the ceremony so they can enjoy the Olympics and the Queen's Jubilee celebrations during an event-packed summer in London.

The property tycoon recently told the Mail On Sunday: "We haven't set a wedding date and we don't even know which country we are going to have it in. It will be towards the end of the year as we want to enjoy the Olympics and the Jubilee."
