Risk Factions is now on Facebook, with new terrain and characters to evolve the social side of the established cat battle.
Loaded with maps and a terrain that reacts to gameplay, the new version has three new objectives and a shortened game-length to keep new, social players in the game.
And the factions? There's the human faction, led by General William P. McGutterpants, the cat faction led by Generalissimo Meow, and the Zombie faction led by Colonel Stiffenberg.
You won't like Risk Factions if you don't like cat puns based on Communist China. Or zombies.
The game's producer, Spencer Brooks, told Huffington Post: "Facebook is a big gaming platform, and we wanted to innovate. Risk was already very social, but now the factions each play differently, they have unique powers and special weapons. As you play, you will also unlock new factions."
Social is the future of gaming, Brooks says: "Gaming on Facebook and social media has given gaming developers the chance to put out games much quicker. We can also respond to feedback faster than ever, which makes the making of games more competitive and exciting."
