Actor Rhys Ifans has been accused of slapping a guest in a late-night row at a five-star London hotel.
The Notting Hill star allegedly assaulted a partygoer in an unprovoked attack in a suite at the exclusive St Pancras Renaissance hotel in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Theatre producer Adam Spreadbury-Maher says he and a group of friends were invited to a room party hosted by Rhys and his girlfriend Anna Friel. But after 20 minutes, he claims the 44-year-old actor randomly tried to start a fight with his friend.
Spreadbury-Maher says in the Mail on Sunday: "[Rhys] made a beeline for him and started shoving him saying, 'What the f**k are you doing here? You're a joker. Who the f**k are you?'"
Spreadbury-Maher, creative director of the King's Head theatre in Islington, called the police from a taxi to report the incident on his way home.
Rhys, who earlier in the evening attended a pre-BAFTA awards dinner with Anna, is yet to comment on the accusation.
