Victoria Beckham And Mel B At Odds Over Spice Girls Reunion

'I'm Not Working With Her'

The Spice Girls' hits have inspired a poptastic new musical but a comeback concert has been put on hold due to the apparent frosty atmosphere between Victoria Beckham and Melanie Brown.

The feisty fivesome - which also includes Geri Halliwell, Melanie Chisholm and Emma Bunton - is said to have been in secret talks to launch a major TV show to conduct a nationwide hunt for performers to star in their upcoming West End show.

But Posh Spice Victoria's successful fashion career put a stop to plans, despite Mel B's persistent pleas.

"Other than attending the world premiere of the musical, she wants to focus on her fashion career. She would be fine with the other four going ahead without her, but Emma doesn't believe that's the right thing to do."

Emma, aka Baby Spice, reportedly insisted that all parties had to be involved with the programme and it seems industry insiders agree.

A TV source explained: "There would have been demand from both the BBC and ITV, but it only works if the Spice Girls themselves are all involved."

Scary Spice Mel B has repeatedly hinted that a Girl Power reunion was in the works, amid rumours the Wannabe hitmakers had been asked to perform at the Queen's Diamond Jubilee concert.

Speaking to Star magazine recently, she said: "I would never say never. I think it's possible. I'd love it if we got back together and got to go on tour. We're doing a musical about the Spice Girls right now, so we're in contact quite a bit. But I can't really tell you much about it."

"The Jubilee isn't going to happen. But the musical is going to be really great and we're focusing on that."
