Lauren Goodger Pulls Out Of Running The London Marathon

Lauren Pulls Out

TOWIE's Lauren Goodger had promised to get fit and run the London Marathon, but the Essex star has gone back on her word after quitting training.

Lauren pulled out of the 26 mile challenge which she was going to run to help raise money for charity, allegedly proclaiming she 'couldn't be bothered' with it.

She was due to join cast mates James Argent, Billi Mucklow and Cara Kilbey for the race on 22 April after making a New Year's resolution.

A friend added: "She hates working out and she just didn't put in any effort to get race-ready.

A spokesperson for the star confirmed to The Huffington Post UK that she had withdrawn from the race.

"Lauren unfortunately had to pull out of the London Marathon earlier this year as her personal trainer felt that she wouldn’t be ready in time to do herself or the cause justice," they said.

Last night Lauren was relishing putting her feet up as she tweeted: "Heaven lovely cootch night cosy n warm x x," posting a picture of herself watching TV.

Earlier this week, Lauren spoke to Heat magazine about how unhappy she was with her body after gaining weight.

The star admitted she didn't know how to shift the excess pounds after going from a size eight to 12.

"I feel so fat. I don't know what to do - I want to lose weight but I can't," she told them.

"I think about [my weight] all of the time - from the moment I get up, but I still struggle to do anything about it.

"I've tried boot camp, had a personal trainer and a nutritionist," she said. "But I just start eating again. I have a problem."
