27-year-old Amanda Whittaker doesn't like to be called Amanda Whittaker. She prefers Amanda Liberty, which makes sense when you realise she's in love with the Statue Of Liberty. You know, in a way.
The unassuming shop assistant from Leeds may look like a regular girl, but in reality she has a very rare condition known as objectum sexuality, which sees her fall madly in love with inanimate objects.
Her first love affair was with a drum kit her parents gave her when she turned 13, but since then she's moved on to bigger things. Much bigger things, in fact.
She's now visited the iconic New York landmark she calls her lover four times, hugging and kissing and carressing the 151ft green lady whenever she goes. As for her bedroom, it's covered in Statue Of Liberty memorabilia, with her prize item being a 6ft reproduction of the grand ol' dame.
Speaking to Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby on This Morning recently, Amanda gave an in-depth interview about her condition, sitting alongside a psychologist as she did so. To check it out, click play on the clip below.
