The Design Museum have announced the longlist for their annual Designs of the Year awards. Naturally, we made a beeline to the fashion category to check which of 2011's fabulous designs had been recognised.
No prizes for guessing that the Duchess of Cambridge's world-famous wedding dress (Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen, in case you've been hiding under a rock since last April) made the list but 2011 also included a host of things that are nothing to do with Kate Middleton (unbelievable as that might sound) so read on to see who else received a nod (HINT: list includes MyDaily contributing editor Mary Katrantzou).
