New mummy and Saturdays singer Una Healy has spoken out about the 'worst moment' of her life when her newborn baby girl Aoife Belle began CHOKING shortly after she was born.
Una and her rugby star fiance Ben Foden had just welcomed their first baby into the world when she began gasping for breath. The terrified new parents told Hello! magazine how they panicked and pressed the hospital's emergency button to summon medical help when Aoife began choking because of fluid on her lungs.
Una said: "I was screaming. There's this precious little person who you would die for, and you can't bear to think of anything happening to her."
Ben added: "We went into panic and pushed the emergency button. Next thing she was whisked away and staff were running around."
Proud new dad Ben also told the mag that despite not being 'one to blub' he did shed a tear when his little girl was born, saying:"I did well up the first time I set eyes on her, mainly, though, I just felt really, really excited."
Una said there hadn't been a dull moment since Aoife's arrival, and that she and Ben spend hours gazing at her, taking in all her expressions!
"During the night, I'll wake up, even when she's sound asleep, and sneak a peek.
"She'll be lying there, with her tiny hands up by her face – she's so ladylike – and my heart could burst with love for her."
