A mum who dressed her toddler up as a prostitute is defending her actions as she returns to the controversial American show which first aired the shocking footage, Toddlers and Tiaras.
Wendy Dickey made headlines when her three-year-old daughter Paisley strutted her stuff in an outfit inspired by Julia Roberts' prostitute character in the film Pretty Woman.
Footage of Paisley competing in a pageant dressed as the character was shown on the hit show Toddlers and Tiaras, which follows pageant mums and their daughters in the States.
Wendy is making a return to the TV show to defend her decision in a new episode, which airs this evening on TLC at 10pm.
In the episode, Wendy says she doesn't regret dressing her daughter up the way she did, despite the backlash in the press, as it 'put her name out there'.
"Paisley has competed in over 60 pageants but it was definitely the Pretty Woman costume that put Paisley's name out there," says the proud mum.
"I love Julia Roberts and I thought, 'this will be the funniest thing ever.' Then all of a sudden, bam! I got a lot of backlash.
"People were saying that I was sexualising her, but I made the outfit myself. The outfit was very non-revealing and she would not be as well-known if it was not for that costume."
You can see Paisley's 'performance' in the video above. It makes for quite uncomfortable viewing...
What do you make of a mum who wants to put her daughter 'out there'?
